Carbon Configurations
|
|
|
Carbon
Configurations may vary for internal or external pressure.
Qualiseal will balance the seal nose for those special
applications that require precise engineering. The operating
height may also be controlled by adjusting the carbon
configurations.

Special Function Seals
|
|
|
Special function seals deliver positive sealing action in applications
involving high pressure and/or extreme vibration. The design
incorporating a metal-carbon seal nose composite produces the
strength required to resist high system pressures and assures
metal to metal contact at the drive lug locations.

The seal housing may also
provide
bearing bore.
|
Front or rear flanges as
well as
cover plates, may be incorporated
into the housing.
|
The high
speeds and combustion temperatures common to turbine
applications are effectively sealed by the labyrinth
seal.
This labyrinth Qualiseal offers a unique stabilizer
ring with "fins" which maintain the
roundness of the seal ring assembly. These fins
quickly dissipate the heat generated by friction at
the I.D. or at the face of the seal ring which allows
the seal ring to adapt to changing operating
conditions.
