DESIGN VARIATIONS
Design
flexibility allows for a wide range of variations. Some of the many
possible modifications are illustrated by the figures shown.
Single
seal with carbon labyrinth ring assembly. Carbon grade
material to suit specific temperature applications not
exceeding 600°F. This seal utilizes a
removal washer to facilitate repair of internal
components.
Single
seal with silicon carbide labyrinth ring for temperature
applications of 1600°F maximum where carbon grades are
subject to oxidation.
Spring
loaded double back to back seal of separable design.
Double labyrinth ring assembly is used versus a single
ring of equivalent length to minimize leakage. Leakage
is less for the double ring because the interruptions
cause additional losses due to entry and discharge.
Symmetrically
designed single seal for reverse pressure conditions.

Double
tandem seal arrangement for sealing a combination of
liquids and gases. Housing designed for either gas
injection or drainage. Full circular roll-over versus
tab crimping minimizes axial movement of mating cap due
to pressure.
Multiple
labyrinth ring assembly incorporating a flanged housing
for mounting directly onto the equipment case. Design
utilizes gas injection on the high pressure and low
pressure side. Housing is made of a non-magnetic
stainless steel material to enhance vibration detection
when a probe is used thru the center hole.
Multiple
labyrinth ring assembly of separable design to
facilitate replacement and/or rework of internal
components.
Double
tandem steel arrangement for sealing a combination of
liquids and gases. Housing design is a metal stamping
with flexible retaining tabs at the outside diameter.
